Location

We are located at 725 W. Wrightwood Ave. in the Lincoln Park and Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, IL.

Harmony opened in September of 2020, hosting learning pods for elementary & middle school students. One part school, one part home, makes for a cozy and beautiful learning environment.

We now offer services for children of all ages, including after school programs, tutoring and day camps for K-5 graders, and toddler & caregiver play sessions and preschool prep classes.

Director

I'm Ginny Conforti, director and owner of Harmony. I have 4 children ages 4-20 years. I've lived in Chicago for over a decade.

With the pandemic closure of in-person school, I struggled to meet the needs of my elementary and middle school daughters, while also caring for my toddler. Our home wasn't feeling very harmonious. I knew other families were struggling too!

Then sparked the idea of a Montessori inspired learning center to create a sense of community- a calm and caring respite for students navigating remote school. A place with the structure and order of school & the comforts and beauty of home. This is how HARMONY was born!

Over the last 2 years, I have carefully curated the space to meet the ever-changing needs of children and families. I can't wait to welcome you into the Harmony family!

Experience

I am a licensed K-9 and E1 Montessori certified educator with 20 years teaching experience in charter, public, international, IB and Montessori schools. I also hold a graduate level Elementary Reading Endorsement.

Many families in the community know me as "Ms. Ginny" from my years teaching Lower Elementary 1 (ages 6-9) at Oscar Mayer Elementary prior to opening Harmony.

You can contact me at ginny@harmonylearn.com.

Hi! I’m Miss Sarah and I am originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and currently now living in Lincoln park. I graduated from Illinois State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I will be attending Erikson Institute in Fall 2023 to receive a Master’s degree in Social Work! I have 7 years experience working in a preschool as a 3’s teacher, pre-k teacher and the assistant director. I also have clinical experience with behavior therapy working with children who are neuro-divergent. I recently started working at Harmony and I love being a part of the staff and am excited to continue to grow with the kids and their families!

Hi, I’m Mrs. Maddie! I live in Lincoln Park with my husband and our French bulldog, Blue. I am originally from Kentucky and have lived in Chicago for a little over a year. In my free time, I love snuggling with my puppy, reading a good book, and exploring new places to eat! I am also a student at DePaul getting my MEd in English Secondary Education and hope to be licensed to teach grades 5-12! I have worked with kids my entire life whether that be volunteering in the children’s ministry at my church, being a summer camp counselor, or nannying for local families! I’ve been at Harmony since fall of 2021 and I love all the families and amazing kids I have gotten to meet during my time here!

Team Harmony

Harmony has a great team of energetic, talented and kind staff!

Hi, my name is Mr. Dylan! I’m 24 years old and I just moved to Chicago a few months ago with my wife. I was born in Kentucky and lived in Alabama for about two years before moving to Lakeview. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Asbury University. I started working at Harmony Learning Center in the Fall of 2022 and have loved the experience! I enjoy the process of getting to know all these awesome kids and having the opportunity to learn from them.

Hi, I’m Ms. Jo-Hanna! I am a freshman in college at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. I am majoring psychology with a pre med concentration. I’ve lived in Chicago for 11 years now and live here during breaks. I love reading (like a lot), spending time outside, hanging out with friends, and eating ice cream! I have worked with kids for over 6 years now, starting when I was 12 and doing children’s ministry at my church. I have also run my own summer camp two summers in a row, nannied, babysat, and served as an assistant children’s ministry leader. I love working with kids because they are so fun to be around and always remind me to find joy in the little things. I’ve been at Harmony since summer 2020 as well as during Thanksgiving Break. I am so excited to continue working here and meeting new families!

Hi! I’m Miss Hannah and I started working at Harmony this past fall. I grew up in Indiana and have lived in Chicago for the last two years; I currently live in Lincoln Park. I am a student at DePaul getting my M.Ed in Counseling, specifically School Counseling. I will graduate this June and hope to obtain a School Counseling position in Chicago Public Schools at an elementary school. The elementary age is my favorite which makes working at Harmony such a joy! When I’m not in school or at work, I enjoy doing outdoor activities, trying new restaurants going to concerts, and spending as much time as I can in Northern Michigan! I have loved being a part of the Harmony staff and working with your students and I am looking forward to more fun with Harmony in the future!
