Meet Our Chess Tutor
Shay Upadhyay
Hi! I am Shay and I recently graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington, where I earned my degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. I moved to Chicago just over a year ago to pursue a career in nonprofit consulting. I am a life-long chess player, and I come from a long line of chess players in my family! I first learned the game on the living room floor with my father at age four. I am really excited to share my love for the game and teach the next generation of players at Harmony. In my free time, I love to spend time at the lake, do hot yoga, and explore new restaurants in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park area.
